Toddler-made crowns for birthday party with free patern
This weekend was just wonderful, not only did we celebrate easter for the first time but we also celebrated Tutu’s second birthday. We kept the birthday party rather small as we prefer it this way and we think Tutu enjoys more when there is fewer people around. We had good friends coming over and to top it off my parents arrived from Colombia just in time for the birthday party!
My husband and I really like to make most of the things for the party by ourselves. I knew well in advance that we were going to be baking a lot and working hard on decorating our cakes but I also knew I wanted to make something special for our little guests. Tutu has been recently totally obsessed with princesses and so, I decided to make little crowns that all the little ones could wear during the birthday party, and take home as a keepsake.
Making these crowns is quite easy and the kids really loved them plus Tutu had a blast painting and decorating them. To make these crowns you need:
Crown pattern
White Cardstock
Pen
Scissors
Finger paints
Glue
Gems or Glitter (UK) /(US supplier)
Elastic craft thread (UK supplier) / (US supplier)
First start off by printing your pattern onto paper and cut it. Then place the pattern on top of the cardstock, draw around the pattern onto the cardstock and cut just inside the line.
Now the fun part comes: painting and decorating the crowns with your child. Cover the work surface with newspaper and put together all your painting supplies and whate...
