DIY Easter tree to practice fine motor skills

Last week we finally started seeing some sunshine and getting decent temperatures. And as soon as my little girl and I saw the sunshine we were getting ready to go outside! We normally go out almost every day unless that the weather is too bad. But when we have warmer days we like to go and stay outside as much as we can and this week we went for a long nice walk to our favorite park.
Tutu has become obsessed with collecting sticks and bringing them home. We have collected so many and I didn’t know what to do with them but I was sure if I try to throw them she was going to be upset. So after thinking for a while, and having in mind that easter just around the corner, I came up with a brilliant idea (At least, I think). Turning some of these tree branches into an easter tree to practice Tutu’s fine motor skills.
Here is how I made it.
To make your own easter tree you need:
some sticks or tree branches (go for a nice walk with your kids and gather some, this is really fun for them!)
a pot
floral foam
Once you have your supplies you just need to cut a piece of the floral foam to fit the pot. Fill the pot with the foam and stick the tree branches in the foam.
That’s it! Easy peasy, right"!
After I had my tree ready I placed it in Tutu’s Montessori shelves together with a basket full of easter eggs to hang in the tree. Then, I invited Tutu to play with the tree and I must say she was be...
